“Doggies and Denim” is a runway show featuring Bloomingdales’ latest denim trends that will benefit Safe Humane Chicago. The event will take place from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, March 20th at Bloomingdales on Michigan Avenue.
Come see dogs and volunteers from Safe Humane Chicago shake a tail on the “dogwalk” while showcasing Bloomingdale’s hottest denim fashions. *Meow!* Volunteer models include community leaders, high school leaders, partners and board members of Safe Humane Chicago and will be accompanied by adorable adoptable pups and a few already adopted Safe Humane Ambassador Dogs.
Bloomingdale’s is graciously donating ten percent (10%) of the pre-tax portion of all purchases made by Safe Humane friends and supporters on March 20th after 6 pm to Safe Humane Chicago.
Guests will have an opportunity to learn about the program and meet some of the dogs and youth whom Safe Humane Chicago serves.
“This is the second fashion event that Bloomingdale’s is hosting for Safe Humane Chicago” said Safe Humane Chicago’s Executive Director and Founder, Cynthia Bathurst. “The first event, ‘Cashmere and Canines’ held last November, raised more than $2,000. in much needed funds. So we’re thrilled and very grateful that Bloomingdale’s is hosting a spring event in support of the mission and efforts of Safe Humane Chicago.”
Bloomingdale’s “Doggies and Denim” event will also help generate awareness, celebrate partnerships, and showcase the dogs and youth for whom Safe Humane Chicago programs advocate.
Safe Humane Chicago works throughout the Chicago area to create safer, more humane communities by inspiring positive relationships between people and animals. Through education, advocacy and second chances, Safe Humane Chicago focuses on youth leadership, collaboration with the criminal justice system and helping vulnerable dogs and youth in at-risk communities.
Hope to see you there!
