Building Community

Bringing pet parents together to do good and make a difference in Chicago.

Schedule A Meet & Greet

Whether you are a doting pet parent or just a huge fan of all things animal-related, coming together to advocate and support each other creates community in our beautiful city. Through volunteerism, partnerships, and online awareness, we work hard to enhance the lives of all people, dogs, and cats. Here are just a few of the incredible organizations we appreciate most.

Places We Love

Friendship Pet Pantry

Friendship Pet Food Pantry is a program of The Friendship Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to alleviating hunger and poverty in area neighborhoods. The pet food pantry program is 100% volunteer-based; all donations are tax deductible and go directly toward the purchase of much-needed pet food and low-cost preventive medical services for dogs and cats. Team Rover-Time will gather on April 21st, 2018 to assist with pet food distribution. Click here to learn more about this monthly volunteer opportunity.

A Client Appreciation Event at Indigo & Violet!

Save the date to work your creative muscles with indigo & violet studio on May 20th, from 12-2! We’ll have a fun DIY project and mimosas on hand to celebrate YOU, our very favorite people. A Facebook invite and mailer will be shared by April but for more immediate info, email Julia.

PAWS Chicago 5K Walk/Run

Join Team Rover-Time on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Montrose Harbor for Chicago’s LARGEST dog-friendly charity walk and run, benefiting PAWS Chicago. For the first time, we’re assembling our very own team and participating! Join your favorite dog walkers, with their friends and family, to help us raise money for this important adoption center. For more information on joining the team or hanging with us on the sidelines, go here.

Tree House Humane Society

Tree House is an organization that promotes the inherent value of every animal and strives to educate the public about proper and responsible animal care, with a focus on the care and placement of stray cats with special physical and emotional needs. Join us at Mew and Brew at Lagunitas Brewing Company on April 9.

A Client Appreciation Event at Mutt Jackson!

You’re probably wondering, who/what or when/where is Mutt Jackson? Their Chief Mutt put it best here. Pretty cool, right? Join Team Rover-Time on July 14, 2018 as we take it over to enjoy a day of sun and fun with our favorite people and dogs! Save the date, we’ll share more info soon!

One Tail at a Time

Rover-Time gave five years of associate board membership and was the top sponsor of their annual Houndstooth Gala for four years because we sincerely adore the people and passion found within this organization. One Tail at a Time formed ten years ago and has assisted with over 2,250 adoptions but that’s not all they’ve done. Click here to view their impressive timeline. They’re ready and willing to help make Chicago the next no-kill city.

Chicagoland Rescue Intervention & Support Program

Chicagoland Rescue Intervention & Support Program, or CRISP, was created to provide owners and pets with thoughtful and loving alternatives to the shelter. In 2017, Rover-Time sponsored the design and development of CRISP’s first website so the organization could reach people and potential donors with ease. Follow their inspirational Facebook page to learn more about their upcoming events.

Community Pet Day

Community Pet Days are hosted in underserved neighborhoods biannually in Chicago. At these events, Chicago Community Pet Coalition provides services such as microchipping and vaccinating pets, as well as supply flea and tick medication, spay/neuter vouchers, collars, leashes, harnesses, food and other items to families who may have difficulty caring for their pets. Rover-Time has had the opportunity to volunteer at these events and it’s easily one of our favorite days of the year. To make a donation, click here.

Rover-Time's Donation Drive for CACC

Chicago Animal Care and Control (CACC) protects public safety and ensures the humane care of animals through sheltering, pet placement, education, and animal law enforcement. In 2018, Rover-Time’s friends and family raised over $4,000 for CACC and we delivered an amazing haul to their shelter on March 3.  CACC doesn’t accept monetary donations so Rover-Time loves organizing this annual supply drive. We’re committed to filling CACC’s shelves with common and specialty items for Chicago’s neediest dogs and cats.

Tail Wags & Happy Parents

I HIGHLY recommend Rover-Time because of all the support they give to the community and to local Chicago dog rescues. High fives for Rover-Time!!
