Cancelation Policy

Rover-Time understands stuff happens. For our dog walking service, we request notice by 9:30am if you need to cancel a walk that day at no charge. A call, email, or text works, and of course we welcome even earlier notice if possible. Clients are subject to a 50% charge for a walker arriving when the dog isn’t home or when the client determines a walk is no longer necessary.

Our boarding service recognizes that trips get canceled and plans change. Under most circumstances we’re flexible, but around holidays we implement a cancelation policy. Cancellations made less than two weeks before check-in, over holiday periods, will result in a 50% cancellation penalty on the total amount due for scheduled services. Thank you for understanding.

Boarding Rules and Regulations

Rover-Time believes that all dogs have the right to a SAFE, fun, and stimulating environment during their stay. To ensure the safety and health of your pet, we require that you comply with the following rules and regulations:

Temperament and Behavior: Because this is a boutique-style service, Rover-Time books no more than three families per night and each dog under our care meets the following requirements-

  • We cannot board dogs requiring 24-hour supervision, or dogs with severe separation anxiety, or aggressive dogs.
  • They know their name and phrases like "wrong" or "no" so we have a way to stop bad behavior.
  • They also know basic commands - come, sit, and stay.
  • They have an understanding of what behavior is appropriate and what behavior is unacceptable

Health: All dogs must be in good health and free of any communicable disease. If you note any vomiting, diarrhea, gagging, coughing and/or any other symptoms, please do not bring your dog to Rover-Time. Dogs with any of these symptoms will not be admitted to boarding. If Rover-Time notes any of these symptoms in your dog, you will be notified to pick up your dog immediately. If Rover-Time cannot reach you, your dog will be separated from the other dogs in our care. If necessary, your dog will be examined by a veterinarian and you will be charged accordingly. If your dog has been ill in the past 30 days, please inform Julia at Rover-Time.

Applications: All owners must sign and complete the following forms: a new client application with pertinent health history including dates of vaccinations, a signed medical release and liability waiver, and a signed rules and regulations form. Copies of veterinary records, spay/neuter records and Chicago dog license complete the application.

Spay or Neuter: All dogs must be spayed or neutered. A copy of the spay/neuter certificate can be emailed.

Shots: All dogs must have current vaccinations and an annual fecal test free of parasites. Owners must provide written proof that each dog has received Rabies, Distemper/Parvo DHLPP or DA2CPV and Bordetella prior to receiving services.

Payment

Clients can make their payments by cash, check, or via Chase Person-to-Person QuickPay. Payment for dog walking services is made bi-weekly, on the last walk of the second week. Payment for boarding accommodations is due at check-in.
